HOTEL DU PONT and Gable Music Ventures Annouve Live & Local Happy Hour Series in April
Gable Music Ventures and the HOTEL DU PONT are proud to announce a new concert series. Every Friday night in April from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, the HOTEL DU PONT will feature talented local and regional artists in the beautifully redesigned Lobby Lounge. The series kicks off with Baltimore Pop Duo, Cecilia Grace, who just opened the show for Trent Harmon winner of season 15 of American Idol at the Queen this month. The full schedule for April is as follows:
Friday April 6th – 6:00-8:00pm – Cecilia Grace (Baltimore Pop duo)
Friday April 13th – 6:00-8:00pm – Ginger Coyle (Wilmington, Soul Singer Songwriter)
Friday April 20th – 6:00-8:00pm – Keira Sankey (Wilmington Jazz, Singer Songwriter)
Friday April 27th – 6:00-8:00pm – Keli Vale and Nick Bucci (Wilmington Jazz)
While enjoying the complimentary live entertainment, guests and patrons will be able to order from a selection of new cocktail and food menus designed by Executive Chef Keith Miller.
“The HOTEL DU PONT’S decision to feature live, local music is to be commended,” says Gable co-founder Jeremy Hebbel, “by embracing the local music scene the Hotel is giving local music fans a reason to come in and enjoy spending time in the beautifully redesigned Lobby Lounge, and perhaps enjoy a cocktail and light fare during the shows.” In programming the entertainment, Hebbel says Gable Music Ventures will be working to schedule artists that create a mood and captivate an audience. Gable Music Ventures is best known locally as the company that created and annually puts on the popular Ladybug Music Festival right in downtown Wilmington. The event boasts an all-female lineup of performers, and an attendance that hit 10,000 people in 2017. Asked about all four acts being female to kick off the month, Hebbel says it wasn’t intentional; fans should expect a mix of genres, and of course, male and female artists.
“We are excited about the partnership and the opportunity to activate our hotel lobby by creating a unique local experience. It is the vision of HOTEL DU PONT to bring energy and excitement back to the Hotel and to the city of Wilmington,” says John Gomes, Director of Food and Beverage.
