DuPont Theatre Andrea Martin Package

DuPont Theatre dining and show package for "ANDREA MARTIN: LIVE!" at the DuPont Theatre!  May 15-20, 2012

Our package includes overnight accommodations at the Hotel du Pont, two mezzanine seats to ANDREA MARTIN's Evening performance at the DuPont Theatre on your day of arrival, plus dinner for two (a la carte) in our Green Room on your day of arrival, gratuity and nonalcoholic beverages included, and valet parking.  Your Dinner Reservation will be made for two hours prior to the scheduled show time on your day of arrival.

Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays:  5:30 pm Green Room dinner reservation, 7:30pm show time;

Fridays and Saturdays:  6:00 pm Green Room dinner reservation, 8:00pm show time.

Powder & Prisoners Package

Hotel du Pont's Civil War Sesquicentennial package, "Powder & Prisoners" includes overnight lodging, valet parking, a la carte breakfast, and admission to Hagley Museum and Fort Delaware.  Hagley's exhibit  "An Oath of Allegiance to the Republic: the du Ponts and the Civil War" explores the roles played by du Pont family members, E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co., and the local community in response to the Civil War, the most devastating conflict Americans have ever seen. At Hagley, see the DuPont Company's first office and gun powder mill, and the first du Pont family home in the United States, Eleutherian Mills.  Next, explore Fort Delaware,  the local Union fortress dating back to 1859, which once housed Confederate prisoners of war. It was originally built to protect the ports of Wilmington and Philadelphia. Visitors take a ½ -mile ferry ride from Delaware City to Pea Patch Island. A jitney provides transport from the island dock to the granite and brick fortress. Here, costumed interpreters take you back to the summer of 1864, including demonstrations of artillery, blacksmithing, food preparation, and communications. Legend has it the Fort is still populated by the spirits of the departed.

Explore the legacy of painter Andrew Wyeth with our Andrew Wyeth Legacy Package.   Package includes admission to the Brandywine River Museum in Chaddsford PA near Longwood Gardens, a la carte breakfast in the Green Room at Hotel du Pont, overnight accommodations, and free valet parking with us.

Exhibiting American art in a 19th-century grist mill, the Brandywine River Museum is internationally recognized for an unparalleled collection of works by three generations of Wyeths and its fine collection of American illustration, still life and landscape painting.

Enhance your experience:  Victoria Wyeth and the Wyeth Legacy. Enjoy a private tour of Chaddsford and the Brandywine River Museum including Kueners Farm and other Wyeth locations (weather permitting), led by Victoria Wyeth.  Ms. Wyeth is the granddaughter of Andrew Wyeth and the great-granddaughter of painter N.C.Wyeth.  The tour includes a private one-hour presentation at the Dillworthtown Inn focussing on the art of Victoria's famous relatives. Chaddsford Tour is about one hour, Wyeth art presentation is one hour, and Brandywine River Museum Tour is one hour.  Victoria Wyeth tour must be booked 14-days in advance of arrival date.  Private Tour Fee:  $2500 flat fee for one to six guests (maximum of six guests) for one three hour tour led by Victoria Wyeth.
